Position Overview:
The Motorcoach Operator Trainer assists in planning, organizing, and conducting a variety of training activities for the Motorcoach Operators as required by law and regulations. This position conducts classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training and continuous review of Company Motorcoach Operator's skill and understanding of safety procedures as designed to provide All Aboard America! with skillful and safety conscious Motorcoach Operators. This full-time position reports to the Safety Director.

Position Overview:
The Motorcoach Operator Trainer assists in planning, organizing, and conducting a variety of training activities for the Motorcoach Operators as required by law and regulations. This position conducts classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training and continuous review of Company Motorcoach Operator's skill and understanding of safety procedures as designed to provide All Aboard America! with skillful and safety conscious Motorcoach Operators. This full-time position reports to the Safety Director.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the All Aboard America brand in a positive manner to all individuals; is an advocate for the Company.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all Team Members, passengers, group leaders, law enforcement personnel and other persons while acting in the course/scope of their employment.
- Facilitate new and existing Motorcoach Operator training and instruction.
- Prepare and maintain training and certifications as they apply to Motorcoach Operator training.
- Collaborate with the Director of Safety to assess, plan, and develop the Motorcoach Operator training programs.
- Establish and maintain internal and external working relationships to support and enhance All Aboard America! training and instruction performance.
- Administer pre-employment road tests.
- Provide Record of Duty Status (RODS) support to Motorcoach Operators and Operations Departments at all facilities.
- Assist Sales Department with routing information and location inspections.
- Provide process/procedure improvement recommendations to Supervisor.
- Respond to email communications and phone calls in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times; reports any unsafe working condition to Supervisor immediately.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures.
- Fulfill the role of a Motorcoach Operator as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Motorcoach Operator experience required.
- 1+ year(s) experience in classroom instruction preferred.
- 1+ year(s) Mentor status with All Aboard America! preferred (internal candidates only).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and state/local Department of Transportation rules/regulations required.
- Excellent/professional written and oral communication skills required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite and Computer use skills/abilities required.
- Be at least 25 years of age, and speak/read/write in English.
- Possess a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class "B" or A, with "P" Endorsement, with 3 years of commercial driving experience and 6 months of "bus" experience (transit, school bus, Motorcoach).
- Have no more than 2 tickets/minor violations or preventable crashes in the past 3 years, or no more than 3 tickets/crashes in the past 5 years.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Be able to operate a Motorcoach in interstate commerce, in a safe and responsible manner in compliance with federal, state, and local jurisdiction, and as required by company policy.
