We have an immediate opening in our Sales Department for a Charter Sales Representative! The Charter Sales Associate for All Aboard America! is responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the assigned territory. This individual must effectively promote/sell the company’s luxury motorcoach services by personally responding to inquiries, cold calling contacts, and securing new business accounts/customers. The incumbent plays an integral role in the Sales Department by taking ownership of the goals/targets for the El Paso territory.

What are the responsibilities of a Charter Sales Representative?

The below list is not all inclusive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned. 
  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales to create and implement sales strategies to ensure individual and Company sales goals are met; holds oneself accountable to these goals.
  • Builds/maintains relationships with all current and potential customers, promoting the AAA! brand and portfolio of services; spends approximately 10% of time in outside sales role, maintaining current client relationships and generating new business. 
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers.
  • Makes outbound telephone calls and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Responds immediately to customer inquiries for service through all types of communication media (phone, email, social media, etc.).
  • Manages/guides the customer through the complete sales cycle (quote, confirm, collect), ensuring accuracy of all data in the charter booking system.
  • Ensures all trips booked meet all State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Partners with the Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure vehicle availability and proper assignment as needed.
  • Collaborates with the leadership team to expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Coordinates with the Accounting Department to ensure that all invoices are paid in full in a timely manner by customer.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new motorcoach services.
  • Attends and participate in sales meetings, seminars and trade shows.
  • Performs duties as efficiently as possible, reducing costs when possible; maintains receipts for all job-related expenses, submitting them to accounting on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains a safe working environment at all times; identifies and collaborates with Location Manager to correct any unsafe action and/or behavior.
  • Monitors Company email and responds to emails in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a safe working environment at all times; reports any unsafe working condition to Director of Sales or Location Manager immediately.
  • Follows all Company policies and procedures.

What schedule does a Charter Sales Representative work?

In light of the nature of the transportation industry, the Company does not maintain regular business hours. You are expected to work customary business hours but will vary as determined by the Company’s specific business needs. Schedules are subject to change and may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or multiple-day shifts. Flexibility with the work schedule and the ability to work any shift assigned is required.

What are the minimum requirements for Charter Sales Representatives?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years outside sales experience with a proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales goals preferred.
  • Strong passenger transportation industry knowledge/experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and HPE (Human Performance Evaluation) required.
  • Bilingual preferred.
